In between launching new product ranges, redesigning my studio (more on that later) and growing a tiny human in my belly, we’ve also worked on some cool new products, which we’re delighted to share with you!
(Real) quotable quotes
We love an inspiring quote as much as the next Instagram user and we’re totally on board with Living Your Best Life (hashtag!), but motivation overload is definitely a thing. You ever feel like saying “stop with all the happiness quotes, people”! Yes, us too. Which is why we went for the ‘anti’ version and opted for these fun and feisty quotes instead. Find them on our mugs, prints and tees.
I’ve always loved this funny post by Anja from glitz and grammar where she’s hating on Pinterest quotes. Read it here.
Could there be an animal more cute and quirky than a llama? They’re so wonderfully unusual and I totally fell in love with them last year at the Fynbos Guest Farm in Wolseley. I decided there and then that I should definitely illustrate one, and voila!
I loved adding flowers to the llama’s body and framing it in a floral wreath. You can find this adorable guy on our mugs, soap dishes, planters, butter dishes, vases, tees, utility jars, bowls, cards, jewellery dishes and tea pots.
Good to grow
As an owner/creative-led business, Sugar & Vice has grown and evolved with me through the various life stages, with the manifestations of a particular phase often finding some outlet in my work. When I got married I became obsessed with bridal party goodies. So it’s really no big surprise (just a big belly!) that I’ve been creating some super cute onesies for my little girl who is on her way. And because sharing is caring, they’re not just for my little baba but for sale to all on the online shop.
What’s more, in something of a throwback to the 1980s (hey, I’m a child of the 80s!) I couldn’t resist twinning outfits for mom and baby – with witty slogans that are characteristically Sugar & Vice.
