I love it when I casually page through a magazine and see one of my products by surprise. Especially one of my favourite designs, the Sugar Skull and in such a colourful and pretty page spread.

I’ve been at a few exhibitions, where I see people stroll pass and pull a face at the skull designs, as they associate skulls with evil, which is not the case at all!

Let me educate those who don’t have a cooking clue what it is about. Day of the Dead (Spanish: Día de Muertos) is actually a beautiful Mexican holiday that gets celebrated throughout Mexico. The holiday focuses on gatherings of family and friends to pray for and remember friends and family members who have died, and help support their spiritual journey. Traditions connected with the holiday include building private altars called offerings, honoring the deceased using sugar skulls, marigolds, and the favorite foods and beverages of the departed, and visiting graves with these as gifts. Visitors also leave possessions of the deceased at the graves.

Cosmopolitan featured our Sugar Skull Salad Bowl that’s available for a reduced price of R299.00 on Superbalist. They only have a limited amount available, so now is your chance to buy it for this ridiculously awesome price.

They also have a selection of our other products available that you can check out here.
