The Sugar and Vice range of contemporary souvenirs makes for the perfect gift for foreign friends and family who are visiting South Africa for the first, second or hundredth time or expats wanting to take a little bit of SA back with them and even just for those living here who happen to be patriotic and proud locals.
New to the souvenir family is our African Tales and Protea Silhoette designs. The African Tales traces the infamous shape of the African continent with an an array of ethnic patterns within. The design can be found on all of our usual items, including our range of coffee mugs, making them the perfect cup of tea for anyone with links to South Africa and beyond.
Fynbos is one of many things that has put South Africa on the map and saluting this is Our Protea Silhoette design. Here we have taken the country’s national flower and encased it with intricate illustrations of tiny fynbos flowers inside! Not only is it an interesting and different take on both fynbos and the protea, but it is also a wonderful celebration of our natural wonders!
Our Royal Kaap range comes in two designs and celebrates all that the Mother City has to offer with a detailed illustration of Table Mountain in a mandala and tattoo inspired detail. The stunning design is available on oval and rectangular platters as well as on our limited prints, scatter cushions and tea towels, which are extremely light and easy to send overseas either by post or can be tucked into a suitcase.
The second design takes the form of a line drawing, again of Table Mountain, but this time with a zigzag pattern beneath and Proteas at the top. Available on most of our small handmade ceramics (such as our soap dishes, tea bag holders, coffee cups, ceramic bowls, spoon rests, sugar bowls, milk jugs, utility jars, jewellery dishes, espresso cups, coasters and greeting cards) which are small and lightweight, can be easily transported and are also available to purchase in the Table Mountain Cableway shops.
Other beautiful gifts include items from our Protea Dreams range, which is a gorgeous and intricate hand drawn illustration of two Proteas on a doily and is available on all of our items, or the Tribal Oliphant design. This illustration of an elephant with geometric detail is also available on all our products and is ideal for animal lovers or those after a unique representation of one of SA’s game. And for the sea, sand, beach and sailing lovers there is the Cape Sailor range of an anchor with a Protea, which you can find on all of our products.
Remember: Sugar and Vice is proudly South African and while the above ranges scream all things SA, if they do not take your fancy, then any product in our other ranges can also do the trick, especially as each and everyone is lovingly handmade in Cape Town, South Africa, which is very special on it’s own.
