Nut Bread Recipe

Recently I baked this lovely wheat free, gluten free and diary free bread plated on the lovely Royal Kaap platter.  To keep it diary free, use the coconut cream. It’s banting friendly and lovely to eat bread guilt-free! Try it yourself!

Banting Bread Recipe

Nut Bread Recipe:


  • 100ml flax seeds
  • 100ml sunflower seeds
  • 250ml almond flour (ground almonds)
  • 30ml pysillium husk
  • 250ml buttermilk / Greek yoghurt / sour cream / coconut cream
  • 5 eggs
  • 10ml baking powder
  • 5ml salt
  • Optional 1tsp of honey / xylitol


*Pre-heat oven 5 minutes on 180 degrees

  1. Put all seeds and nuts together in a blender and blend until fine
  2. Mix all the dry ingredients together
  3. Mix wet ingredients together and combine with dry ingredients
  4. Pour mixture into a well-greased bread tin (coconut oil works well)
  5. Sprinkle the top with pumpkin / poppy / sesame seeds
  6. Put mixture in oven for 45 minutes at 180 degrees

Done and dusted! Put your feet up and enjoy a little rest until the oven pings. Serve hot with butter and cheese.
